One
Ocean Kayaks plans are a product of
professional CAD and Hull Design software, years
of experience, prototype testing and hundreds of
hours of computer time. With the exception of
marking the station distances on the 'spine' you
will NOT be measuring ANYTHING. These plans are
designed so that you can have all forms
precisely cut in about two hours and begin with
your kayak construction.

Nimrod Canoe
- A Geodesic Airolite boat consists of a
simple, lightweight, wooden framework,
braced with triangulated Kevlar® roving
strands. This rugged basket-like frame is
then covered with tough heat shrink aircraft
type Dacron® that is sealed with paint,
varnish or an iron-on Mylar film. The skin
may be left translucent or finished in a
color.

6 Hour Canoe -
Building the Six-Hour Canoe is a wonderful way
to get afloat. Quickly and simply built, the
Six-Hour Canoe is suitable for builders and
paddlers young and old.
Inexpensive to build, using common tools and
materials, it can give almost anybody access to
boat building and to a boat. The Six-Hour Canoe
is constructed from a single 4' x 16' sheet of
marine plywood and a few pieces of dimensional
lumber. When constructed with epoxy-glued seams,
it remains leak free from the moment it is put
in the water. |
Sweet Dream
- Build the canoe of your dreams in
about 60 hours with no prior boat building
experience! Dimensioned hull plans for 12,
13 and 14-foot versions, detailed building
sequence, tips and techniques for painting
and varnishing, and hard-to-find background
and reference material.
Sweet Dream is easily and quickly built
using hand and basic electric tools. There
probably is no quicker way to build an
all-wood canoe. |
PIROGUE/CAJUN
SKIFF Unreal
maneuverability and speed under paddle power
- shallow draft and quick handling mean you
can get into the tightest spots
|

BULLFROG
Curves this smooth and graceful can only be
achieved with strip construction. The decking
detail is simple, yet adds nice finish. The
floor strips are veneered over the ply for
appearance, this is an optional item. |

The Darkwater Skiff is
named for the deep black waters of SC, such as the Edisto River, which
run through rich organic soils and abundant cypress knees. This style
of skiff has been proven in the Carolinas for years and is popular for
lakes, backwaters and coastal use. This skiff is designed for very
heavy commercial or recreational use...there are easier skiffs to build,
but they do not compare in durability and performance. |

Gator Boat Very
portable for one man, seat removes - The smooth lines make this
model very maneuverable, while the flat stern adds stability. Seat
adjusts on rail to allow you to properly distribute your weight
|
The
Weekend Skiff
-
Building the Weekend Skiff is a fun way to spend
a weekend and get an excellent small boat easily
and inexpensively. The Weekend Skiff is designed
for two adults or several children and can be
adapted to sail or small outboard. It is a
family project ideal for introductory boat
building experiences. This book offers detailed
plans and instructions
|

Dinghy Nymph
-
As this little dinghy took shape the subtle
beauty of her lines emerged. One of the
restrictions of building in plywood is its
limited ability to take compound curves but,
as we were to discover, this design is a
pleasing blend of both form and function.
|
|
Simmons Sea Skiff
- Designed for the inlets, bars, and shoaling
rips of the Carolinas, the lightweight V-bottom
Sea Skiff used modest power to achieve fast,
comfortable cruising speeds. For added safety,
and ease of maintenance, the outboard motor was
located in a well, inboard of the high, raking
transom. |

Moondance
is a car-top, sleep-aboard, off-shore
cruiser for two...honest! About fifty feet
offshore that is, and in sheltered waters.
Unless you're a complete idiot, you don't
cruise Labrador, or cross Lake Superior in
this boat. But the most interesting and
beautiful cruising grounds are the shoreline
of the lakes and bays an easy drive from
where you live. You can launch Moondance
almost anywhere, and camp on about any water
you can see. |
Montana
River Boat
- These plans include drawings, tool and
material lists, full sized patterns and
written instructions for stitch-and-sew
plywood-fiberglass construction.
Stitch-and-Sew construction is well suited
to the beginning boat builder. At
approximately 275 lbs. for a finished 15'
boat, plywood-fiberglass boats weigh less
than most aluminum or molded fiberglass
boats.
