This kit manufacturer makes a beautiful Western Red Cedar birdfeeder that is handcrafted by the Salish Indians of Canada's Pacific Northwest. They call it the “RainForest Bird Feeder” and their design is based on 30-plus years of studying what would consist of the best birdfeeder
design. It features a broad roof overhang that keeps the seed dry and the birds
safe from prey while they are feeding.
Special seed dividers in the feeder allows the use of non-mixed seeds to
attract the birds you want. You use less seed because unique floor baffles
minimize the amount of seed the birds scoop onto the ground.
This birdfeeder comes complete with a hanger, but the base of the units is 1 ½” thick, so you can also mount it to a pole. Because it is made of red cedar it does not require any finishing and will last for years. These birdfeeders are very high quality and the prices reflect that workmanship.
