Dock & Raft Kits

Shoreline fun is guaranteed when you have a secure and trouble-free dock! If you're looking to upgrade or replace your waterfront pier, KitGuy offers an impressive selection of dock kits, hardware and accessories.

Every lake, river or oceanfront presents its own unique set of considerations when planning and building your dock. Do you want a dock that's made of wood, steel, aluminum or vinyl? Based on your water-bottom conditions, should your dock be a pipe-leg, wheeled, aluminum lift or floating design? Will you need a shoreline connection kit? A ramp kit? Finger extensions? Anchor kits? Whatever you need, you can find it all here!

Some things to keep in mind as you're planning dock construction are: the cost of materials, the time and expense to locate the materials, whether you can use scrap material and the weight of the finished unit (this is especially important if you plan to remove your dock from the water every season).

A wide variety of dock accessories, such as ladders, floats, cleats, boat bumpers and marker buoys are also available from many of KitGuy's dock kit manufacturers. You can also get kits for swim floats, gangways, dock benches and more. Handicapped- approved-design ramps are also available. Some companies will ship complete, factory-assembled docks.

Kompleteness of Kits/Finishing: Most kits come complete with galvanized steel hardware and fasteners, construction plans and drilling template sheets, if you need to create holes in subframes for corner brackets. Lumber requirements are always specified, but you purchase the wood separately. Flotation or anchoring devices are often purchased separately, too.

Tools: All you'll need are standard tools, such as a saw, hammer, drill and bits, a tape measure, square, center punch and wrenches. Most kits include a handy list of all the tools you'll need. Remember to always wear protective goggles when using a hammer, saw or drill.
