 The House of Hammocks offers both western red cedar and pine doghouse kits. The cedar doghouses are handcrafted, one of a kind, and signed by the craftsman. Cedar is a natural deterrent to fleas and ticks and termites so it is an excellent material for a doghouse. Through its natural aging process it will turn a warm gray color. They also offer a pine doghouse that is similar in its size and construction.

All kits come as pre-assembled panels, pre-drilled with the necessary screws and instructions for easy assembly. Five sizes are available to accommodate any size dog: small, medium, large, extra large, and giant. Thermal-ply insulation lining is optional. This lining blocks as much as 93% of the summer heat and 50-70% of the winter heat loss through the
doghouse.
All of their doghouses include a clear vinyl door that is pre-installed. A unique aspect of these doghouses is that the roof can be removed for easy cleaning or watching of young puppies. Optional deck and porch kits are available as an interesting option. A dust free, anti-fungal and non-allergenic pet mat is
also available. These mats are 1 ¼” thick, completely waterproof, and fleas cannot penetrate the surface. The mat is great for all dogs and according to the kit manufacturer is efficient as a birthing mat or for older dogs with arthritic joints.
