The workbench is made of rubber wood - chemically-treated and kiln-dried, which produces a very dense, hard timber. Rubber wood is also used in the making of furniture, cutting boards, kitchenware and so forth.

The workbench is 54" wide x 19.5" deep. It features a wood vice for woodworking, and a
standard metal vice
is available - for holding other objects. The woodworking vice is tapped and threaded to allow for protective wood inserts when clamping wood projects such that the wood would not be damaged.
Another option is a vacuum clamping system and a clamp-on router table. The vacuum clamping system allows you to hold various types of wood, plastic, glass, metal, laminates and even stone with up to 760 lbs. of vacuum pressure. It can be used to work with fine woodworking such as working with veneers, because it minimizes the possibility of damaging the wood surfaces. A material/storage shelf is also included.

workbench starts at $149.95
plus $35 for FedEx ground shipping. The metal vise is a $50 value and when purchased with the bench, you can get it for $40.
